Mad about the boys
Professor Greer finds herself in the news for a forthcoming book that will provocatively challenge preconceptions about female sexuality and the taboo.
I am sure this is all a terrible mistake and she has no idea the amount of column inches that will be devoted to agonising the morality of it all.
Poor lamb.

This is old news dressed up as new, I’m sure. When Germaine was interviewed by the Telegraph in 1999, she said: “Like any person of taste, I am, of course, a pederast. It has to be boys, not men.” Evidently the sort of thing that greatly excites horrible Daily Express readers.

Jon: Incidentally, how do you agonise a morality? I think we should be told.

In fact, I was rather pleased with “agonising the morality”. It appears to be saying that you are agonising about the morality of something, whereas you are actually causing agony to the very concept of morality.
Er, yes, that’s what I meant, I’m sure.
