Catching up
Miss Kit continues to thrive. Today she and Mrs Grey were found slumbering side by side on the two-seater yellow sofa in the Northern Professor’s study. She has begun to discover the great outdoors and thinks it quite fascinating; she found one of Mrs Grey’s voles and was, fortunately captured before she had posted it down the neck of the NP who was at the time, still in bed. The Gamekeeper was delivered to his college, discovered that there were 400 girls on the premises and that the food was good, and seemed strangely consoled for the trauma of leaving home. Dr Biswell, meanwhile, has left for Manchester. The household thus comprises my mother, the Canadian Professor, and the Queen of the Martyrs (she studies them, I mean, she is not ‘martyrisée’) and there is so much to talk about there is NO TIME AT ALL for the blog. We will get back to you all when opportunities permit.
